10 Foods to Eat to Lose Weight

When you want to lose weight, your diet is very important. As they say “You are what you eat”, it has never been more true that you have to watch what you eat. But more than often the what to eat part are a bit of a mystery. With all the conflicting diet advice I’m sure most of use are confused about what food to eat when you want to lose wieght. That’s why I have made a list of the top 10 foods to eat to lose weight.

1. Lean protein

Lean protein helps the body to build muscle. The process of building muscle increases the metabolism and makes you burn calories even in your sleep.

2. Whole grain carbs

Whole grain, brown carbs and baby potatoes are some of the best carbs as they supply the body with energy throughout the day.

3. Fruit

Fruit is an excellent snack to chew on as it is low in calories and full in fibre – keeping you full all day.

4. Vegetables

Veggies are a great way to full up your plate, they are low cal and high in fiber, keeping you full all day. Make sure that half your plate are full of veggies.

5. Beans and other pulses

Beans and other pulses are very healthy and full of fiber – ensuring that you keep full all day.

6. Nuts

Nuts, especially almonds are full of the healthy fats that help one keep full. Have a handful each day.

7. Chillies

Chillies are a fat burning food. The heat in chillies help one to eat less and it also help to burn more fat.

8. Fat free dairy products

Fat free dairy products are high inc calcuim. Calcuim has been shown to aid weight loss. So make sure to include fat free dairy products into your diet

9. Oats

Oats are an excellent breakfast. It is full of fiber and protein, keeping you full and your metabolism on its toes.

10.Healthy fats

Healhyt fats (unsaturated fats) are good for one, it helps to keep cholestrol down and it also keep one full. Examples of such fats include olive oil, avocados and olives.

Exercise

Exercise increases appetite control and help you to eat less – it will also thus help you to lose weight. Make sure that you include weight training as well as cardio. For cardio you can do any cardio machine or walking, running or swimming. For weight training you can either use free weights or some adjustable dumbbells. The adjustable dumbbells is more flexible and you only need one pair to give you different weight loads.

If you focus your meals around the top ten food to include to lose weight, you will be very succesful in your own weight loss journey. Make sure to stock up on those foods and to limit the amount of times that you eat the other foods. And remember to lose weight easier, include regular exercise into your daily life.
