Eating enough fresh fruit and vegetables is not easy! busy life styles impact on our health in too many ways, and it is very difficult to be a really healthy individual.
Luckily there is a really easy way to cheat on all the health food games: Instead of eating more good food, drink it instead! What I am referring to here is in fact drinking freshly made juices, to naturally supplement your diet. Drinking juice is easier than eating more fruits and vegetables, and can be the only way for some people to get their quota of fiber and nutrients. If you have poor teeth or gums, then maybe drinking juice will save you time and discomfort.
Fruit juicers come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from compact little gadgets like the L’equip Mini (suitable for single people living in smaller apartments to large full scale machines like the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer or Breville 800XL, both of which can easily make enough juice for a whole family – half a gallon or more at a time.
When looking at fruit juicers to buy, there are a few key things to look for: First, is it easy to take apart and clean. This is often overlooked by buyers, who then are frustrated when they realize how much extra time will be spent scraping pulp out of difficult to reach corners inside the machine. Remember, every time you use it you need to clean it!
Second, does it take big pieces of fruit or vegetables without the need for extensive cutting up of ingredients? Again, you will find yourself really annoyed if you notice after you buy it that you spend ages on a boring task like cutting every last ingredient in to small bits before you can juice them.
Finally, look for a good warranty. Juicers are mechanical, and do fail – if you can find a machine with a 5 year warranty (offered by makers like Greenstar and Lexen – Angel in fact offer a massive 10 years) you are buying serious peace of mind.
