Natural Joint Pain Relief

Joint pain can occur for any number of reasons. It is a more common affliction of the elderly, and of individuals suffering from autoimmune deficiencies, but young, healthy individuals are not exempt from periodic or chronic pain. Joint relief can come in many forms.

In particular, elderly individuals that suffer from osteo arthritis (an affliction that is the result of the natural wear and tear of cartilage) will find that physical activity may aggravate the afflicted area.

For individuals looking for natural joint pain relief as an alternative to over-the-counter pain medications or steroids, consider investigating natural herbal formulas that promote joint and cartilage health. Also, consider icing and applying heat compresses regularly, and doing mild and safe stretches. Some individuals find that topically applied muscle rubs or sprays can provide some temporary and soothing relief.

In extreme cases, unfortunately, herbal remedies and exercises can only do so much to relieve pain. Many individuals suffering from advanced arthritis will have to undergo steroid injections or even surgery in order to obtain any considerable type of relief.
